malnpudl posted this meme, which is a list of TV shows that you distinguish in various ways, one of which is "I am positive I have seen every episode of this. I'm not doing the meme, but here is my list of things I've seen all of:

Angel
Buffy: the Vampire Slayer
Dark Angel
Farscape
Firefly
Sports Night

I'm pretty sure there aren't any other TV shows I've watched in their entirety. I practically had the first seasons of Arthur and Friends and Wishbone memorized, but I didn't watch the later seasons; the same is true with many shows notably absent from my list.

Most of the notably absent things on my list I am simply not caught up on (West Wing, the Stargates, Veronica Mars); one show I won't watch any more of (Andromeda), some I watched piecemeal (the Treks, Lexx, The Sentinel), and one, I missed one episode entirely by accident (House M.D., "Daddy's Boy").

When I first got into fandom, I kept lists of all the episodes of all my shows and put x's next to episode titles after I'd seen them; this was partially because I watched most shows piecemeal at first (with Gvambat showing me the best episodes in no particular order and skipping things she didn't have or didn't like), and I really did need a way to keep track.

Insert thinky thoughts about ficcing in open vs closed canons, writing with/out firm grasp of canon, writing ambivalent futures, plunging into fandom feet first, the importance of completism vs some other strategy, etcetc. I don't know. Too tired to think. But look. (*points up*) I made a list!

(And I suddenly remembered I still haven't seen the very end of "Rising."

For my reference (since I think it's time for another overhaul), my interests as of today, clustered according to some sort of Earth logic.

Top number one way to tell you're reading Ari-fic:

1. It's shipfic. And the ship in question is complete and utter crack.

2. In the sexy bits there's slipping and sliding and moaning and, if it's het, I thought of Dworkin and put her around him and not him in her. And if it's boyslash, I completely made all the bits up.
3. If it's boyslash and it's porny, it's got either Wesley or Alexis Denisof in it. Or possibly both.
4. It songsongs off into itself somewhere and you've got characters forgetting to remember to forget.
5. It's in tight third-person-limited POV.
6. The fourth wall is broken.
7. You find yourself seeing subtext for pairings other than the textual one. OR there's a long bit in the headers warning you that if you look hard enough, you might see subtext for upwards of five pairings in addition to the featured one.
8. If getting the featured pairing together requires some sort of plot thing to happen, it likely happened off-screen and is alluded to obliquely so as to make you go, "What? When'd that happen?"
9. Fred is an X-Files fan.
10. McKay and Weir are having sex and Weir is clearly topping and McKay comes off a little funny because he's so totally completely whipped. Yes!

I want to write this fic where there's a cold snow-covered planet and McKay whines and wheedles and convinces Elizabeth to come see it because there's something very important and plotty there and she finally gives in because she loves him so and then they get there and she's all very cold and so's he, and whining loudly about it and she says, "So what was so important that you needed me to freeze for it?"

And then he kisses her.

Yay!

Except for the part that it's completely daft and out-of-character, I think that would be really lovely.

Whilst I anxiously await finding out if I'm going to the Hartford screening of Serenity with mosca (Who, in case you hadn't realized, is the coolest person in the entire frelling 'verse, to madly mangle my mythologies) and friends, some things.

Last night I went through my school email account and forwarded all the emails between self and girlfriend to gmail. All 200 of them. (And that was just for about a three-week period...). Some amusing bits:

fun pointless meme: All the pairings I've written (from azarsuerte from got it from dragonsigner who got it from angelsgracie who seems to have it f-locked but who probably got it from deannie who got it from taraljc who got it from debc who got it from dragonsinger... okay, backtrack. Obviously angelsgracie got it from someone else. Conclusion: angelsgracie brought the meme to my corner of fandom in a f-locked post. Anyhow:
