1. Apparently Hotmail is rejecting LJ comments, which would explain why I've not been getting any. NOT ON, HOTMAIL. I have temporarily switched to my rl account -- I changed my mind and finally created a fannish gmail account. I have 100s and 100s of messages archived in my hotmail account, so I need to remember to check it too, so they don't all disappear.

And so far, Gmail doesn't seem to be delivering comment notifications either. HOW CAN I KEEP UP WITH THINGS if technology does not cooperate?

2. I just checked Ann's website, and she hasn't outed Ducky yet. Come on, Ann. All the cool authors are doing it!

3. When I got out of bed this morning this afternoon.

Ari: Stop me if you've heard this, but, so, JKR was at an event last night and...
Dad: Yes, I heard. I emailed you about it.
Ari: Yep, I figured you would.

4. My Secret Yuletide Source is SO AMAZING. And contains a scene that is possibly my Favorite Scene of a Particular Type in anything ever. It gives me thrilled shivers. And I think my appreciation of the source as a whole has deepened since the last time I engaged with this particular source. YAY.

I haven't gotten LJ comment notifications in weeks, and I'm on yahoo. I think it may be an LJ problem, not a problem with any particular e-mail service.

Hmm. I saw a post that claimed it was a hotmail problem, but gmail doesn't seem to be working for me either. I've only been a day or so without notifications, though.

I've seen other people complaining, but my gmail account seems to be receiving comments as far as I can tell (i.e., I am getting at least some comments, and I don't seem to have comments for which I haven't gotten notices in any of the places I would think to look).

Which is sad, because when I don't notifications, it means I don't have comments. Whereas otherwise I could just tell myself that it was LJ's fault!

My gmail seems to be getting comments. Maybe it depends on the LJ server you're on.

I stumbled on your page randomly via google because I've been experiencing the same hotmail/lj problem. I switched to GMAIL but it only delivers comments to my posts, not those I make on communities it seems. I'm not even sure if I'll get a reply from you :) Anyway, I tried doing the validating e-mail address thing with hotmail. It worked once, but then comments disappeared again today. I retried to validate but now not even my validation emails get through from LJ. Bad news!

Yikes!

I'm still using my brand-new gmail account and it seems to be working for me -- *thinks* -- yes, I just got a comment from a post I left in a community. (I didn't get a validation email at my Juno account when I briefly switched in the middle of trying to fix the problem, but I don't trust Juno as far as I could throw it -- do not recommend!)

I don't have any helpful suggestions, but I hope you manage to fix your problem!

Apparently Juno is in the same spot as hotmail according to the front page. But thanks for your comment, it came through to my gmail account so that's worth keeping until they fix the problem :) Or I decide to leave hotmail and its sucky new interface for good *s*
