Am horrible person. Or perhaps just horrible challenge-responder type person.
First there was the attempt to write Wesley/Lilah that totally turned into Fred/Oz (still unfinished, by the way.)
And now I'm writing this backup fic for a ficathon (not the McKay one) and the request is totally for a certain het pairing involving Daniel and a female person who isn't Sam. And it's totally turned into a certain slash pairing that shall only be known as "Jack/Daniel."
*headdesk*
Also, I have this problem with my OTPs. I know, I don't
have OTPs. I have lots of true pairings. But the thing is, they're
all true. You know what I mean? If I'm writing a fic with Willow and Giles in it, regardless of what pairings it is, there's going to be feelings there. Willow has a crush on Giles. It's part of my unchangeable canon. Of course, W/T and W/O are also part of my unchangeable canon.
And I can't write Daniel/Sam where Daniel isn't also in love with Jack, and since I can't avoid the evil Canon Het, Sam's usually in love with Jack too.
And I bet if I tried to write Jack/Daniel, I'd have the same problem.
Clearly, I will never,
ever be capable of writing genfic, and soon all my fic will turn into space operas more confusing than certain seasons of
Angel.
Or possibly threesomes.
With that, GIP, and I think I'm going to sleep for a couple of hours before church. *headdesk*
I'm a bad influence on myself.
But no, wait, first: a list of pairings that will always be present in any fic of any length I write about the characters. Or, in other words, the loves that are part of my own personal canon:
( cut because, predictably, it's a long list )Looking for the McKay Ficathon Masterlist? It's
here.
