Because fandom is a funny place where a lesbian and a straight man spend the weekend before New Year's writing each other explicit incestuous threesome porn. Elizabeth's verdict is that we are cute.

I will post more about this in the year-in-fic, but now I can offically reveal that 2007's Secret Theme In Fic was incest. Prior to 2007 I wrote, that I recall, 2 incest fics. In 2007? I wrote 6.

Okay, it was obvious. I was convinced you wrote for me long before the story was even posted. Thank you again--and now that all is in the open (because I totally had to be super silent before, in case someone might figure things out), I probably have more things to say, because writing the pairing myself has given me a degree of insight into just how very awesome your story is (and why?).

As for a choice of incest fic OR threesome fic . . . I feel like a kid in a candy store. I have a half-day at work today; let me spend the whole time thinking about it.

Oh, I totally saw "[r]edacted fannish thing" and thought, "Oh, Ari must have picked up my 3_ships assignment as a pinch hit." Okay, no. But ever since I got my assignment, which emphasized to me just how much overlap between my request/assignments and yours there would be, the possibility of you writing for me was very much alive.

I'll definitely share--I haven't thanked you for your feedback yet, which I'll do after I get home from work (I'm on break now).
