Oh my God, how awesome was THAT shot? I seriously died and went to heaven. You know the one I meant. MS is a fucking sex god. Anyhow. The beginning was good. Once we got into the whole Anubis bit, I was sort of eched out, but basically I thought it was a very, VERY solid episode and a lot less bad than I was afraid it was going to be. And the ending was really sweet. :)
The slash content was so fucking fabulous! I spent the entire time looking for slashy bits, and they were THERE in such great number... it was very cool. Definately goes on the list of 'shippy episodes.
The random Daniel/Sam anti-shippy moment was fucking gratitous and pointless and bleh. And "Feed my fish" was a sadistic line since the consensus in the fandom is that they are in fact DANIEL'S fish and Jonas stole them. So that made me want to vomit.
Jonas being the voice of moral reason is still ludicrous, but he's so much more tolerable when he doesn't have to pretend to be Daniel.
Daniel, on the other hand, is an excellent Daniel, and did you notice that he smiled WAY MORE when he couldn't remember who he was than when he did? Yes? How depressing is that?
On the whole, a very decent set of eps. Very ambitious, needed to set up a lot of stuff, resolve the Jonas situation, the Anubis thing, the Lost City thing, the Daniel thing, and only had 2 hours to do it... could have been better but probably not while still attempting to do all this stuff. I really hope the next couple of weeks show Daniel trying to reintegrate with the team--and LOTS of slashy moments. :)
So I called my roommate and we talked for four hours until 5 AM when she wanted to go to sleep... it was awesome... I miss her so much... she and I noticed the exact same moments and we can still read each other's thoughts
Me: ... and then it would have ended more like... you know... the thing... I can't remember what it's called
Her: Yes... yes, I know what you mean... yes it would have. And it's called Breaking Point: Silence
or
Me: And why did they DO that?? (completely out of the blue?
Her: Dunno. Kill them.
Me: Do you have any idea what I'm talking about.
Her: The thing with Sam?
Me: Okay, you know me too well.
So that was fun.
I drove on real roads today! No one died! Yay!
