Because I am moody and meh.

I plugged "Bridget Jones Cleans All The Things" into the I Write Like meme and got, alas, not Helen Fielding:

I write like
Stephen King

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

Amoral Boundaries and Gone Hollywood get me H.P. Lovecraft. My srs bznz fic r horror?

Abby's Hanukkah Tales! gets me P.G. Wodehouse, which is at least the right genre.

Okay then!

Porn Battle 10 is collecting prompts! Woo! I will go leave sexy prompts to cheer self up before church council meeting.

So I C&Ped one of my Shakespeare fanfics into that thing and got "Shakespeare". Which made me laugh, though I wonder if it's just because a lot of the proper names are the same. Craziness.

ETA: And my one Harry Potter fic got "J.K. Rowling." So I think they are, in fact, factoring in proper names. Most of my other stuff is "Stephen King" though the one epistolary story is Vonnegut and a first person Wesley story is Lovecraft.

Popping in various different comment fics from the awesome ladies ficathon, I got everything from Issac Asimov (For a Madeline L'Engle drabble set post Wrinkle in Time), to Charles Dickens (For a Merlin fic), to Jane Austin (for an NCIS drabble). I also got a couple different Stephen Kings, and one James Joyce. The Dan Brown response is getting throttled and hid under the carpets.

And dumping in all 18 ficlets from that ficathon gave me Chuck Palahnuik. Someone I've never heard of and must now look up.

...Fight Club. Okay, I'm going to go hide now.

You've never read Palahniuk?

Dude, do so. At least, his older stuff; his newer stuff kept getting worse until I finally quit. But Choke and Fight Club are great reads.

Erm, just reading through Wikipedia on him, I probably haven't because no one who knows my taste in books would have ever thought to rec him to me. The descriptions of the kind of characters/situations he writes seems to hit my list of anti-kinks, tbh. And I'm one who, if I can't like the characters within the book, I can't like the book, no matter how well written or how interesting the general concept is.

MY ASS you write like Stephen King. You're awesome. He sucks.

Whee, porn battle! I have a list of prompts saved as long as my arm, I shall go re-enter some.

Also, I love that your to-do list is
1. Porn
2. Church

So do you have a good day thinking of porn ideas and then going to church?

*is impatiently waiting to see if friend has a Dreamwidth code for her so she can post.* (not that there's much point, no one ever writes my obscure-ass prompts - except for the incest battle...figures...)
