Looking for caps of the powerbar scene in Birthright. Since when does Gateworld have slashier caps than Jackfic? (links are to caps, which could be considered spoilerish)
Actually, both Jackfic and Gateworld ship wrong, so I should be grateful they even got this scene.

Just... boggle. I pondered this and checking the latest 20 entires on my most recent entries page... 8 of them (including this one) mention Stargate or specific Stargate pairings. That's almost half. Several others mention fandom in general (gvambat, if you read this, I DID NOT MEAN THAT!) and just..

i very much apologize to all of you who were entirely freaked out by my lack of stargate/RE knowledge. =P

see, i normally pay zero attention to any mention of anything television-related in livejournal in all friends' entries, unless it links to something online, because i adamantly refuse to watch tv. so thus, whatever's on tv has little to no bearing on like, my life.

however... i was at a birthday party yesterday, and a couple of my best RL friends have recently (as in the last few months) become entirely obsessed with stargate. and me and the rest of my best friends relentlessly make fun of them because they were incapable of thinking about anything else while watching several taped episodes. but i didn't know any of the characters, so i would be entirely incapable of recognizing any pairings... nor did 'stargate' ring a bell with regard to real life until about two weeks ago when i found out that my RL friends were obsessed. it still doesn't have much of an impact on me though. sorry. hehe.

that's my story. and i'm sticking to it, dammit.

that's not to say, dear ari, that i don't READ your livejournal as such. the lack-of-reading-stargate-ness is all a result of my general livejournal-friends-page-reading policies, which include failing to remember any pop culture references unless i've personally interacted with said pop culture thing in the last few daysish. which is why i recognized stargate today. heh.
