Current pet peeve: I'm going home (really and truly home, home-home, New Jersey home!) for fall break, and then on to New York, and all in all, there will be ten legs to the trip. Argh! Argh!

But I'm going home! I haven't been home since last Christmas.

So do I, but it leads to reminders from gvambat and her ilk that stress is bad, ahppy is good, problems are bad things, and towels over the head.

Oy veh. It really shouldn't take five minutes to explain where "home" is, but here goes...

I was born in Massachusetts. We moved to New Jersey when I was 8.

When I was 15, I started attending college in Virginia.

Last summer, i.e., summer of 2002, my parents moved from New Jersey to Massachusetts because of my dad's job.

This past May, my mom started working on Long Island, NY.

So! My dad and sister live in MA. My mom lives in NY. I go to school in VA and spend vacations... elsewhere.

I still consider New Jersey to be my real home.

Over fall break, I'll spend a few days in New Jersey with friends from high school, then a few days in New York with my mom, then I'll head back here, to Virginia.
