new year resolution 2: MOAR FIC!

1. Comment to this post with a fic request. You can check out all my usual fandoms here but don't have to limit yourself to those. The more obscure your request, the less likely it is to be filled, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be creative. I really am looking to flex and stretch my wings this year and try lots of new things.
2. And then I'll write it! Sometime before 2008 ends, hopefully.

Eveyone is free to request something! The thing you've always wanted me to write! The one pairing that you wish I were into. The AU that only I could write. The improbable crossover that no one but you and I would read. These requests are on top of any other open fic-on-demand requests I owe you -- those I'll also be working on completing this year!

If you were ever to be watching S2 of Battlestar Galactica, I think you should know that, were you to be inspired in the direction of Kara Thrace/Bill Adama/Laura Roslin, I would be willing to sign over in return not only my firstborn child but any and all descendants she might produce. That is interesting. Hard, probably, and I can't promise that what emerges will be lovable, but trying to make it work (and not just be a totally guilty pleasure, which, admittedly, it is for me) will be challenging and fun.

I was trying to read The Priestly Sins today, and... difficult, just to read. (charis_kalos will be pleased to know that my difficulties with that have steered me back to LoTR.)

I don't know how much I've said in emails (I'm at one of those points where I can't remember what I've said to who - whom?) and it's not like the Catholic ordination vows would ever affect me. But chastity is such a big deal for Catholic priests and honestly, I don't want to think about Blackie and actual sex in the same... paragraph. He can talk about his rubber bands, but I want him to know about this stuff by observation rather than experience.

Also, please take "that I can believe in" over "that I can love". I can deal with unlovable.

Well, you did say you were looking to branch out and whatnot, so.... Tara/Willow/Xander. I feel a little guilty asking, since you're already writing something else for me, but they're very much my OT3 and it makes me sad that no one ever writes them but me (and that I can't seem to write them nearly as much as I'd like to).

So I'm just throwing that out there to see if it's something you think you can write. If not, it's fine, believe me :)
