wisdomeagleStargate is getting an eighth season! Stargate is getting an eighth season! Now, lots of folks over on my roommate's messageboard are of the "good news/bad news" mentality about this--and with good reason, I guess. I don't want the show to start sucking, I really don't. But it's still running strong. We've gotten five solid episodes so far--Fallen/Homecoming did what needed to be done and did it decently, Fragile Balance was a good humor ep (at least the first half..) Orpheus also did what needed to be done, and was quite good, and Revisions was decent filler.
So anyhow, I, personally, am delighted about an eighth season! It will give me something to do not only this year, but also my senior year of college, and it will give me an excuse to call my roommate once a week, and there will be more subtextual (subtext!) slash... frankly, I'm thrilled.
Unless they have Jack retire (which they might if RDA wants out) and end this season with a Jack/Sam ship. If they do that... I might have to stop watching, I really might. It would be an atrociously bad idea. Now, if they kill off Jack heroically at the end of S7, I'd be very, very sad, but I wouldn't be traumatized. If they end with ship, I'll be traumatized--and you all will hear all about it.
