"Heroes" is an SG-1 episode with major character death for which I was spoiled by all of fandom being INCREDIBLY INCONSIDERATE JERKS. Or, months before the episode aired anywhere in the world, the slash archive was populated with things like:

Spoilers: Heroes
Pairing: Sam/Janet (where rumors of Janet's death had been going around for awhile)
Warnings: Character death.
