Okay, any volunteers to help me harm my parents and/or run away from home? My internet time has been limited to 6 am to 6 PM. And apparently the fact that this pronouncement left me in fucking tears for like ten minutes didn't convince anyone that it was a really BAD idea.

I hate this.

It's like they want to make me go back to school.

I don't think it's about the internet. I think this is about your sleeping habits. See if you can negotiate more reasonable timings, such as 10 to 10. I think your folks realize that you stay up all night on the internet, as you never used to stay up until the wee hours on simply a book high.

My parents got mad at me for being on the internet all night, too. But then I met a wonderful person on the internet, moved out, and now I not only have my own computer, but a cable internet connection, and no one who lives here sees anything wrong with being on the internet all night.

Ironically, I spend a lot less time online now.

I'm not sure about HP slash myself, but a friend of mine recced a bunch of stories for me awhile ago.
