Why isn't Martha O'Dell played by Allison Janney? Why, why? She looks a little like her, and sounds a little like her, and is a little awesome like her. (Yes, Ari kind of wrote OTP in huge letters on her notes when Marti and Jordan had their lunch together.)
I really didn't take very coherent notes, but I really, really enjoyed this episode. It was probably my favorite one yet. I really loved everyone coming together and being entirely kick-ass and awesome when it was necessary; I loved Matt brushing off Harry because this was more important, love Cal in all his super-nerdiness, loved the sense of honor, and I, with Matt, totally fell into respect for Ricky 'n' Ron. Because world of yes.
Also there were multiple scenes of intense awesomeness -- Harry and Matt and the (uber-phallic) baseball bat, and "I have to make something funny happen."
The actual humor, on the other hand, continues to be terribly unfunny. I was glad I only had to endure that one joke.
Tommy's mancrush on Matt amuses me.
There was way too little Jeannie in this episode! What's up with that! Marti is awesome, but I want my Jeannie/Harry chemistry back. They only had the one scene. Sigh.
Still too little A.Janney. Woe!
On the whole though, yes. I really, really liked it.
