wisdomeagleJust in case, I'm tossing the whole thing behind a spoiler cut. Assume for PoA book and movie, including missing scenes.
I borrowed PoA, themovie fanfilm from the library. I am... not a good person to watch movie-izations with, because of my tendency to rip my hair out and scream "ROBBED" when Snape steals McGonagall's exposition. (You might think I am exaggerating. But no.) I had seen this movie twice before. It still bugs me in the same places and makes me squeal in the same places. (They're pretty predictable. OT3 and puppylove.)
Anyhow, I enjoyed the eyecandy very much.
And also there's this missing scene. Where Black has just been in Gryffindor Tower and Ron is screaming and McGonagall comes along to find out what on earth is going on. Anyhow, this is the MOST AWESOME scene. McGonagall is just... I don't know! Her hair is down and she's in nightclothes but she's still very stern and attractive. And pretty, whereas with the hair up and the glasses I... find her a little too imposing to be pretty? But she really really is. Hermione's also really cute in this scene! She's in jammies and pigtails and is cuddling Crookshanks and is completely adorable. And also, it's the only scene in the movie where they're in frame together, admittedly with three or four dozen other people. But still! Scene together! And when McGonagall leaves Hermione is v. sad (because Ron is mad at her re: Crookshanks eating Scabbers) and Hr looks after MM sort of wistfully as she goes! I watched this scene two or three times. It's so lovely. Sigh, OTP!
