MSN says I lose at dating.

I especially like the "jewelry in a ring-sized box" one. Because...

Okay, let's just be thankful that Star Trek DVDs didn't make the list and leave it at that.

Heh. I think my standards have been permanently lowered, because I'm reading all of those and thinking, "Hey, *you got something*. Be happy."

Wow, I feel so bad for... I don't know, like the woman who's bitching about the poor guy who got her flowers?

Er.

I don't know! That seems so mean! :(

Ooooh. If someone ever gives me Star Trek DVDs, I will know that it is love. Plus, those things are expensive.

Dude, I have gotten roses once in my life and they were yellow roses for my 16th birthday. I would love to get a bouquet of red roses from a romantic partner. I feel like that item in particular is aimed at people who have been doing the dating thing for a long time. And what if your honey loves roses? (Alternatively: "order up a monochromatic bouquet of various blooms in your honey’s favorite color"? what if your honey loves multi-color?) Really I think the article could be summed up by, "Get/do something thoughtful that reflects the individuality of the person you love," which, um, should be obvious?

bah... I'm pretty sure the gift I'm giving should be a clip of a sequin-clad musician on a tiny bike chasing people with a knife. In other words: screw pop culture. :P

That list really applies to family presents, though. It'll be great not to receive a stupid notice I have to walk alll the way across campus 'cuz my parents ordered some droopy chrysanthemums. XD
