the joys of vacation

I woke up at one o'clock today and got lunch, then got the mail, then spent about an hour getting outraged by a long thread on a Stargate messageboard, then checked LJ, posted a comment in a community, and in general hung around online. I'm reading The Longings of Women by Marge Piercy and I think that my appreciation for language and good writing has vastly improved in the past year. I'm proud of myself.

In about an hour, maybe a little more, my roommate will come back from her last final and the real fun can begin!
