wisdomeagleGirls who are pretty, girls who kick ass, girls who are shiny, girls who are broken, girls with quests, girls with smart mouths. I loves me some fictional teevee girls (like others before me, one from each show.)
1. Kaylee Frye (Firefly) -- I love her. Everything about her.
2. Tara Mclay (Buffy: the Vampire Slayer) -- I am her.
3. Fred Burkle (Angel) -- I'm dating her.
4. CJ Cregg (West Wing) -- She is every woman I fell in love with when I was a teenager. I want her to frell my brains out and to comfort her afterwards.
5. Elizabeth Weir (Stargate: Atlantis) -- I want her body.
6. Sam Carter (Stargate: SG-1) -- she's so smart and pretty and goofy and rawr!feminist, and she learns how to have fun and she grows up.
7. Max lame-ass-made-up-maiden-name (Dark Angel) -- girl. with. quest. Also secret girl!pain and an incredibly hot body.
8. Veronica Mars (Veronica Mars)-- she is my ideal of a girl with a quest. She's smart and sassy and pretty and loves her daddy and is fiercely, impossibly loyal to him in a way that breaks my heart. But we know this.
9. Beka Valentine (Andromeda) -- Trance is more fun to watch, maybe, but Beka's got Valentine blood. Beka would rather die than lose a crew member. Beka is like Willow -- she is what she does. She needs to be the best. She needs to fly true or she's worthless and nothing. Beka's my beautiful broken tomboy lover.
10. Aeryn Sun (Farscape) -- Aeryn is incredible. She's so well-drawn, so richly characterized, so full of history and honesty and pain. She is just captivating. Just... amazing.
