joy for ordinary time

GLEE!
1. OMG girlfriend is love!
2. Smoothie! Peach + strawberries + milk + orange juice + lemon juice. Perhaps sliiightly less lemon juice next time. I am a fan of sour foods but this would have been better slightly sweeter. Still! Gleeee!
3. Glee on the flist, which caused me to steal this icon from
cleverocity (it says in the comments on the viewpics page "steal this icon plz!" so I did.)
4. I finished The Truth About Unicorns at the mall and went into book-daze. Where you're like, "Huh, gee, where'd the last three hours go?" And it was GREAT! Some gratuitous plot elements, but on the whole GREAT and interesting and I lovvved most of the characters. Especially Upjohn. <3 He was all... intelligent and repressed and isolationist and mentory and had inappropriate UST with his teenaged female pupil AND his teenaged male pupil. (Though that might be less than canonical.) Eee! Happy!book!place
5. There is a NEW DAR CD! And they were PLAYING IT at Borders! I was like, "This SOUNDS like Dar. I wonder if it's from Beauty of the Rain [which I don't have]." So I went to the CD section to see, and NEW CD. Which I didn't buy, as am poor and jobless, but it EXISTS! I love that it can bring me glee that products exist even when I do not, personally, own them. And her tongue is blue. So adorable!
Three things I did well today:
1. I did not buy the new Dar CD! And I bought the cheapest journal Borders had to sell, though I am NOT fond of Borders' cheap journals. But cheap! Thus more money for food, and interweb.
2. Job interview that did not make me flail or flake (though I don't know how well it went, the fact of my not flailing and being generally gleeful is GOOD.)
3. I emptied the dishwasher.
Two things I am looking forward to doing (better) tomorrow:
1. I will write the
slashysummerfun fic that is due tomorrow.
2. I will post the last
20weeks challenge. Actually, I might do that TODAY. Thus getting the jump on my gleeful weekend lifestyle. [yes! did it! Done with
20weeks!] Hence
2 (take 2) I will FINALLY mail my gf's birthday present and NOT dwell on what a horrible person I am for procrastinating this for so long.

Date: 2005-09-17 03:50 am (UTC)I must read this book at some point.
I saw the new Dar CD via something within the past week. One of these days I really should procure Beauty of the Rain. And eventually I will listen to this new CD. (My library system's current moratorium on AV requests is not contributing to my ability to check out recommended music and movies.)
Also: I applaud the not buying of CDs :)
YAY for job interview in which you did not panick.
