I want to tag. I do. And scrolling through the news item on the tagging system, it's clear that lots of other S1 users do too. But hey, I didn't even realize what the difference between S1 and S2 was until, uh, I realized I couldn't tag properly.

The thing is, my journal is S1 Default, S2 "Classic." Only S2 Classic isn't quite the same as Default. And like I said, I have literally never changed my LJ layout. I don't want it to change. I like it the way it looks in S1. And I don't entirely understand how complicated it would be to make S2 look like S1, but I feel there's something intuitively wrong about having to learn a style system to get something that used to called, well, default.

I am DEEPLY FRUSTRATED.

I'm going to go read The Joy of Work by Scott Adams.

Public, because LJ is something everyone can relate to.

What I do when I wanna change my layout without changing the colors is I go through and write down all the color codes I'm already using and what areas they're being used in. Then I simply re-type them in the little color code layout boxes thingy in "customize" (in the new-ish blue and white Generator? LJ site layout, it's under "Manage". In the old style orange and purple, you just add /customize/ onto the end of livejournal.com - or simply click on the link: http://www.livejournal.com/customize/ ;) )
Yeah, so it takes awhile to hand write/type out all those color codes, but not only do you keep your colors, but you have them written down for future referance should you get the urge to change your style again. :)
