it's just like a vacation

My dad says I can be on vacation until the end of the month. Responsible for household responsibilities, but not looking for a job, not till June 1. That's a few weeks. That's nice. Reasonable. My dad is the soul of reason. The driving manual and a week-old newspaper with classifieds are waiting for me.

I am marathoning VMars. Halfway through "Meet John Smith." Duncan still wins my soul with Grease. Not especially noticing anything too interesting, but at least this time through, I can tell Troy, Logan, and Duncan apart.

I keep on wanting to make a real update, then backing away from it. I don't know. It's the weird, summertime thing...

Still skimming you guys's journals with as much comprehension as I can muster. Sorry. :\

Hey there. I virtually never use betas, but I do try to have somebody look things over when I'm trying something new, just to make sure I've got voices right. Since you sucked me into the xgenchallenge, could I possibly ask you to look over the "As Time Goes By" fic I've almost finished? It's Jean/Alistair. If that's too squicky for you, I'll completely understand.

:) I can't wait to read it either way, but it's not due till the 27th -- is it? *panicky moment* I haven't started mine yet.
