So, tonight's House MD

[spoilers]

Well, I think in part because I was watching it on our horrid old TV, partially because I didn't figure out what was going on for quite awhile (because I'm stupid) and partially because I really, really didn't like Stacey, this wasn't my favorite episode ever, despite the nifty structure.

In truth, my favorite part was the ducklings and Wilson sitting in the back of the auditorium, watching the lecture. And the conversation Wilson had with House about near-death experiences. That was kind of squee-worthy. And Cuddy. Cuddy was amazingly hot. She's probably third-favorite character or so, or maybe tied with Wilson. Oh yes. Teh_hot.

I kind of felt though that the dramatic tension was ruined by us already knowing how the major case came out, and the minor cases getting short shrift... eh. There was no real A-plot.

Lots of good House snark, though.

The patient was an idiot.
They usually are.

I was kind of touched by Cameron coming in... and my God, pre-injury House may have been an asshole, but he was a hell of a lot more emotive than he is now! Imagine him actually telling someone he loved her!

House/Wilson=squee.

Went out for dinner. Mom bought me post-college advice books. Reading Emily of New Moon. Trying not to be stressed.

...Ah, now I know more of their names. (Didn't pick up on Wilson's name, nor Stacey's, 'cuz I was kind of distracted by the Hornblower caps...)

This was an interesting ep to start a newbie on (& I missed the first 15 minutes, 'cuz I was looking @ the tv guide at 10 after and decided eh, what the hell, & then I had to get the tv into my room..) - characters all came through well defined, though, which I liked (especially the students/lecturees) a lot. The plot structure was definitely enough to get me interested in House as a series, as well as the promised snark. XD Might have to watch this again, if not only to add Tues. to my exciting tv nights at home. ;)

Yeah, guest starrage is love. XD The plot structure being atypical is not a bad thing, as it would get old. I'm glad I caught this one, though. ...It kind of struck me as 'scapeful, the interwoven plot structure...^_^ (...whee I so just woke up...)

ohhh, i loved that ep! i thought the structure was fascinating and i have to say, I love Stacey. I love how she parallels House in terms of The Almighty Snark.

i adored the lecture. i really wish more people would lecture like that in real life.
