churchsquee! + want a picture?
Apr. 17th, 2005 12:43 pmChurch this morning was awesome! I love our new pastor! He preached about comedies and Little Bo Peep and A Midsummer Night's Dream and he reminded us that the promises of eternal and abundant life are not about the future only but about right now! They've already started because Jesus already died for our sins AND already rose again from the dead! Christianity is a comedy, and there are tears and confusion but it ends in laughter, and the last word is joy, and the last word has already been spoken! So we should REJOICE! And sway and swing and dance and laugh out loud at least once a week, starting right now! And we sang "Morning has Broken," and in his sermon Rick called a bunch of people by name reminding us that God in Christ loves us, and one of them was ME! "Ruth Ellen! God in Christ loves you!" I love participatory worship!
And I have a DIGICAM! So since I am now camera-ified, I can do that meme from way back
Ask me to take a picture of something around me-- absolutely anything -- so I get to play with my new digicam.
Caveat: not pornographic. And it's up to me to decide what I deem pornographic.

Date: 2005-04-17 06:34 pm (UTC)So, um, very possibly a heavier question than you're up for responding to right now (and if so, that's more than okay)...in what sense(s) do you consider yourself a not-so-traditional Christian? I've been wanting to ask you that for awhile because I'm just always curious about how people identify themselves and such.
Could you take a picture of yourself with a favorite stuffed animal? :)
I'll try to remember to post the picture of you, me, and Elizabeth soon... It turned out really cute. I'm also having prints made and will send each of you a copy :D
omg i'm SO procrastinating...

Date: 2005-04-17 06:37 pm (UTC)Eeep! I don't know if I have a stuffed animal with me (Sometimes when I pack to go to school I pretend I'm very mature and don't have such things.) But I'll figure something out!
in what sense(s) do you consider yourself a not-so-traditional Christian?
Sure, I can answer that, maybe in a few hours when I've gotten a little bit of sleep? Are you more curious about how I identify as Christian, or the ways that my Christianity is not-so-traditional?
Yay! I can't wait to see that picture of us! Dorksquee. :p
(Will answer your comment re: Greyhound again when I am more awake...)
God in Christ loves YOU, Sarah!
