Fred. other characters. and life. Ew.
Feb. 2nd, 2005 04:17 pmI love Fred.
I love Fred into little bitty Burkle bits.
Theory: arguing about Fred online is absolutely as useless and potentially hazardous to my health as arguing about religion was, thus it's possibly a good idea to stop doing it. But just for the record: lotsa Fred-love here.

List five fictional people -- from television, movies, books, whatever -- that you had a crush on as a child (or early teens). Then post this on your LiveJournal so other people can be assured that you're as weird as they thought.
From my very early childhood:
1. Mister Rogers (not, strictly speaking, fictional, but since my relationship with him was entirely fictional, I still say it counts.)
2. Kathy and Sean from Barney and Friends
3. Lady Aberlin (*hearts and flowers*) from Mister Rogers's Neighborhood
4. Arriety (sp? I never actually read the books to myself; my dad read them aloud) from the Borrowers series
5. Ohh, ohh, I remembered one. Mrs. Mannerly from the Felicity series
6. The Alm Uncle from Heidi
From my grammar school days:
1. Wishbone and various other characters from the lit-parts of the show. For some reason Elizabeth Bennett is springing to mind. I'd like to say that I liked the characters played by Amy Acker, but I honestly can't remember the characters' appearances well enough to tell you.
2. Yakko from Animaniacs
3. Lisa Simpson
4. Chessy from the new Parent Trap
5. Miss Lavender from the Anne books.
This is a good segue into my middle school years... (and now we're getting into crushes I'm still not over)
1. BLACKIE.
2. Jean from As Time Goes By
3. Rhett Butler (and Ashley Wilkes)
4. Miss Honey from Matilda
5. the cherubim from Wind in the Door
Okay, now that exam is over, let's talk about my day. Or, specifically, the last couple of days.
Yeah, it was pretty hideous. There was the senior thesis meeting with a professor who baffles me because he never lets what he's thinking show. He just always talks very slowly, in sort of general terms, and I can never tell if he thinks something is cool, or, I don't know, if he ever has any emotions at all. It's very frustrating.
Then I got my paper proposal back in art, and she didn't like it because it was all broad and whatnot, and she doesn't like the idea of my using Mary-as-subject because she wants me to look at women artists, which is fine, but when I asked her in class she didn't seem to really object so I'm like, "okay, that was out of nowhere." So art history was not a fun class this morning and I feel the urge to write pointless, self-indulgent perfectionist!Wesley fic to make myself feel better. Except I don't think Wesley would cry in art history.Well, maybe when he was younger.
So, I took an exam today and I'll take one tomorrow. The study guides for both of them, especially the Christian scriptures tomorrow, are outrageous. I can't possibly know all that crap, and God knows I don't really need to. Plus, it's just... "outline the history of the Roman Empire." That's one question. Out of fifty. That might be on the test. Uh huh. I show off in Christian scriptures. I know I do. But I can't help it. I know this stuff, okay? And the class moves way too damned slowly.
Also, I got maybe two hours of sleep last night, which isn't helping.

Date: 2005-02-02 10:22 pm (UTC)Well, I suppose I could say I had a childhood crush on Geordi, but sigh, he'll always be the host of Reading Rainbow to me. And dammit, now I've got the theme song stuck in my head.
