I keep on starting these projects and then not finishing them. I have some unfinished thoughts on the symbolic structure of Angel's relationships, and some deeper thoughts on "It's Good To Be King," but the only thing that you're getting tonight is Angel!Crackfic.

Then they done rented a hotel room and done sex and drank champagne and laid on a bed covered in roses so Wesley got stabbed with lots of thorns which was a metafore metaquotes metathingie for his GREAT WOE AND PAIN and Angel kissed it better and they done sex some more.

Because I am frustrated with my fic!muse at the moment.

I found my watch. It was hiding. If I finish both ficathon fics that have already been assigned (for the Giles ficathon and for the Hearts and Flowers Fluffathon plus oh yeah, I signed up to do Fred/Willow on ship_manifesto), then I will feel good about myself and can watch some TV (either catching on 'Gate or more As Times Goes By.)

Er, and, um, lessee, if I ever finish the meta, you get to see why I think Harmony symbolizes Angel's dark side more effectively than any other character on the show.

Also, pi.

I finished vol. 20 of my paper diary tonight and nearly had a panic attack (unrelated, though they happened simultaneously).

I signed up for Trkkr's Ethan ficathon and for the Fresley ficathon and am too lazy to provide html links.

ETA: You people keep saying, "Han shot first." Elaborate. (*too lazy to google and lacking in geek cred*)

It's the scene at the bar in the first Star Wars (or the 4th I guess) with the alien guy that gets shot. You know, Han puts the gun under the table, and the alien is threatening to shoot him if he doesn't come quietly. People have been debating for over 20 years who shot their weapon first. (I asked my husband)

Actually, that's a paragraph from the middle of the fic, and I think the first bit is actually pretty good, but then moving them from angsting painful UST to happy fluffy RST was just too difficult, so I wrote that as cartharsis for my Muse and now am back to grinding away at getting them into bed together the hard way, with like, words and everything.

Glad it amused.

I was going to ask you whether you'd seen Greeley's The Priestly Sins around, as a bookstore here said that it wasn't in print yet and I was sure it was... but then my girl-who-isn't (long story - I'll tell you sometime...) said that she's already read it. So clearly it is available out here. And I still need to chase down Second Spring before Golden Years comes out.
