DVDDDDDD!

OMG I have a DVD player! We spent all evening installing it, and it was a pain and a half, let me tell you, but we finally made it work and OMG I now must watch allll my DVDs. Okay, maybe will just start by watching an ep of As Time Goes By. Mmm, As Time Goes By. Of course, it's not like I'm now five episodes behind in current SGwun and 'Lantis canon. OMG must watch! OMG must sleep.

Got lotsa library books relevant to thesis. Oh yes. I mentioned that in the last post. Have I mentioned I'm having a total spaz attack?

All four series (seasons -- when talking about British shows, is it Hopelessly Pretentious to call them "series," or is it okay?)! Got 'em for my birthday, now can finally watch.

I stumbled onto your journal through comments you made on "Shippers Manifesto" and I'm intrigued. This especially caught my eye 'cause I don't know anyone else who watches As Time Goes By except for me and my mom! Love me some Dame Dench!

As you can see, I have a journal. If you visit you will also see that I suck at updating. So ADD it isn't even funny. *sigh* But I would really like to follow yours, so would like to add you to my friends. I've been LJ shy recently, not sure why, but hoping to get back in the swing of things soon.

Also a Buffy person and just recently a Stargate SG-1/Atlantis person (I'm in the slow group!) Seven seasons is a lot to catch up on!

Also a Christian - a pastor, in fact. Lutheran. I read your comment about Baptism and I just want you to know that I would never say or preach "infant only" baptism. Not only unBiblical, but also rude!

It's always good to meet someone who shares my interests, especially rarer ones like Judi Dench. Friending you back, by the way.

And as a side note, I find it so interesting about myself and how I still perceive religious people that when you said you were a pastor, I had a brief spaz attack over the amount of sex, lesibianism, and irreverance that makes its way in here, even though I've been trying to convince my friends for years that not all Christians are repressed homophobic anti-sex bigots. I'm certainly not, and neither is my mom (who's an American Baptist minister).

So, nice to you meet you. Hope you enjoy it here.

Hee! I get that a lot. Then people get to know me and wonder if I'm really a pastor or just making it up. I was also giggling because just when the email came of your reply, I was writing to another friend discussing how best to write Spike's *ahem* size. Well-endowed? Above average? Perfect fit?

So, yeah. Not really worrying about the sex, lesbianism, and irreverence! Looking forward to it, actually. From what I've read of your rants, we are often on the same page. Should be fun!
