wisdomeagleOkay, now that I can finally breathe again, 'cos apparently MadCow is back up... I am insanely jealous of everyone who isn't on MadCow... you have no idea how much I've suffered, knowing that everyone else's LJs are alive and well and mine was still broken, broken, broken! But! I'm back.
Over the Long Weekend Without LiveJournal, I:
-Read CA Diaries Book one: Dawn : I'd forgotten how much AMM frelled with BSC canon characterization to set up the world she wanted, like how Maggie used to be all punk and whatnot and now she's all OCD... weird. Dawn is a whiny brat and I hate her. Ducky got introduced and I squeed madly. "My body is a temple, and I only put pure things in it, like Mountain Dew and Pez."
-Read the BSC book #126 The All New Mallory Pike I'd never read it before, and was slightly surprised that she got rid of yet another character (by sending her off to boarding school), especially so near the end of the series. I guess that moving away and growing apart is a theme that AMM was really into towards the end of her BSC career. Anyhow, it wasn't bad, although I thought Mal adapted to the new school too easily. I can't believe there was only the one conflict and everything else was perfect. On the other hand, major femslash possibilities.
-Watched TOS: "This Side of Paradise" It wasgood better than it could have been. I mean, the SFX were so bad and cheesy, and the plot was so bad and cheesy, but I was on the whole super pleased with it. Dammit, I actually cared about Spock. And sooo much Kirk/Spock. Squee! "I have very little to say. All I know is, for the first time in my life, I was happy." The Spock-arc totally redeemed the entire episode. SQUEE!
-tried to write fic, but failed miserably.
-did some iconing
-skipped church
-had Deep Buffy Thoughts, which I might share later. In the mean time, I need to post my McWeir essay which was due two days ago! *spaz*
