despoiling your childhood memories one by one:
I'm a big Mister Rogers' Neighborhood geek.
Daniel Stripèd Tiger fic, in 150 words. PG-13. Will make very little sense if you never watched the show.
They didn't call it the Neighborhood of Make-Believe for nothing.
Daniel Stripèd Tiger learns this one day.
It's the day he goes to a school with more than three students.
It's the day Anna Platypus and Prince Tuesday skip class together, and Daniel (S. Tiger) doesn't know what they're doing, but knows he can never be a part of it.
It's the day they don't sing in class anymore.
It's the day Prince Tuesday calls him a nasty name, and the other boys laugh at him when he cries.
It's the day he learns from Lady Aberlin (who whispers) what "faggot" means.
It's the day he is too old for mugga-mugga.
It's the day Lady Aberlin leaves his clock and curls up on the far side of X the Owl's and Henrietta's tree, her back against its trunk, and cries.
It's the day they change the name of the town.

This is awesome. So well-done. Which is unfortunate because, yes, my childhood is being a little tarnished here, but it's really great...

(Man, I hate it when my brain gets into the argument of "noooooo!" "Oh, but it's so worth it" "But! NO!")

*weeps for her own childhood, as well*
You're lucky, since this plotbunny won out over the Lady Aberlin/Lady Elaine femslash. :p
