tutoring gleeeeee!

wisdomeagleHee! Learned today: If I'd been a boy, I would have been named Daniel, named after (in part) a player in the 1985 World Series named....Danny Jackson.
But! Tutoring tonight! I LOVE MY KIDS! Not always: sometimes they are annoying brats. But some nights it's so rewarding. When my kids get it, and when they are so excited to get it, it makes both of us squee. We'll be like, "OMG! It reduces! The answer is 2 squared! SQUEE!" It's wonderful. The best feeling ever. When I actually help someone. I tutored two new girls tonight, never been to tutoring before, and they were both super patient and super good learners and really sweet... I love them so!
Some nights, tutoring makes me want to brash my brain in and never ever lay eyes on a person of less than exceptional math ability ever again.
And sometimes, I want to be a high school math teacher.
Talked to both of my parents today. Mom wants to know what I want for my birthday. Told her Kerry. She was confused, thought I was talking about some hip new singer or something. Heh.
Hmm. Must come up with real birthday list. Suggestions?
Anyhow, love both my parents lots + lots. Conversations were excellent. Talked about politics and sports and religion and suchness. And birthday presents. Parents are wonderful. Kids I tutor are wonderful. Evvvveryone is wonderful.
I haven't gotten any sleep in a very long time. Can you tell?
"The Way We Weren't" tonight at one. Need to do soc test. Should do other real work as well, and reward self with TWWW. See how well that works out.
