Ah, be ware! You're young and think you can take or leave the public radio, but it is much harder than you might think. I married an NPR junkie, thinking I could convert him to the glories of, you know, music. Alas, he pulled me down in the mire with him. NPR is always on in our house, and our children are likewise corrupted. My nine-year old's favorite show in the universe is Prairie Home Companion, and I think she's getting a Garrison Keilor book for Christmas. Now I no longer want to stop. *sob*

And yes, I think I'd like a Pres. Kerry for Christmas too....

Hehehe. I was raised on NPR, too. Read Prairie Home Companion books. Did the puzzle every Sunday morning. Pored through the catalogue finding all the cool things I wanted. Fell asleep to Music Through The Night every night except Saturday, when I listened to Sinatra Saturday.... ah yes. Blissful childhood.

So I could quit any time... really I could!
