[spoilers for DR & LGM]
Chiaaaana! Much Chi love. Also love the question that is still unanswered three years later: did Chiana kill Selas? (Spelling?)
The dialogue is so kick-ass. So many nuances. "We aren't a diplomatic ship." Heh. Hells no.
I liked Aeryn in this episode. Although it's naturally very early. I'm not sure, actually, how much I like early Aeryn. It's like this great big contradiction in my head. Did they do a good enough job of spacing out her evolution so it's not just "Oh, I am an ebil, ebil PK... now I am nice and fluffy and half of the most deleriously sappy OTP in history." But yeah. I kinda liked how she was all respectful of Durka and learned about him in PK training and then got disillusioned because he abandoned his ship.
Question: how much of a sense of honor does your average, run-of-the-mill Peacekeeper have?
So's anyhow, I love how they make Rygel a real character and not just comic relief. I mean, he got frelling tortured and they deal with it.
Rygel/Durka. OMG OTP. So much hate/obsession. But the real OTP is Rygel/Durka's head. Cannot see this episode without thinking of Rygel carrying it around in LGM. *shudder*
Chiaaaaaana! Kicks so much ass. I like her much more later, of course, but still. It's kick-ass to have her on board. And yet another set of tenuous relationships begin. Zhaan says Chi is a brat. Chi and Rygel have the whole bondage thing going on, and Rygel sells Chiana out like thirty seconds after striking his first deal with her, but God, I love them together so much.
Where is my Chiana/D'Argo pre-het?? They had one scene together, and there was way more John/Chiana subtext. John/Chi is like, the one pairing I don't ship on this show. I mean, I see it, but... much prefer it as friendship.*pouts*
"D'Argo, try not to fall out of the ship this time."
"I'll do my best." <--- SQUEE! Continuity! And in S1, too!
"Crichton, I'll hunt you down and I'll kill you."
"Get in line, Durka." <-- SQUEE! John snarkage!
I love John more and more with each episode I watch. It's weird. I mean, I did not like S1 John the first time through, but this time, he managed to elicit a spontaneous, "I lurrve John!" for some random bit of snarkage. So yeah. Love John. Really I do.
But I miss insane!John. I really, really miss insane!John. I mean, sure he's great here, being all noble and poor John, lost in some distant part of the universe, and hunted by criminally insane military commanders.
But I can't wait till John is criminally insane. :)
"Nebari mental cleansing doesn't get the tough stains out." <-- this is like, one of my favorite Farscape lines ever.
God, I love this show so much! Two weeks till the miniseries. *squee*
I have a slight cold, and should really just like, collapse and sleep. Should not devote so much time to rewatching Farscape. But it's good, dammit!
Is anyone else tempted to watch Proof Positive just because it's got Amanda Tapping? It sounds really... yucky. But.. Amanda Tapping! ♥
Dinner time in a few. Tonight? Homework, hopefully. *pout* Then if I go to bed early, I can wake up at eight for "Nerve" and "Hidden Memory" *glassy eyes*
To do: make D'Argo/Chiana icon. Make Willow/Giles icon. Make Angel/Wesley icon.Delete old icons to make room for new ones. Figure out how to compress 100 icons into fifty icon slots.

Icons. Hrm.
Date: 2004-10-04 09:17 pm (UTC)I only have 15 icon slots. How come you have 50? Do you have to pay more for that? I don't remember getting that option...
I hope you feel better! Sleep, silly person.
Leah

Date: 2004-10-05 01:19 am (UTC)I am, in fact, terrified that the show will be so yucky that it will make me like Stargate *less.* Plus, I am deeply challenged when it comes to separating out separate roles that people play. I still call Sarah on The Dead Zone "Ezri" because they're played by the same actress. Although it speaks a bit of a culturally deprived childhood, it is deeply fortunate that I never actually watched MacGyver until last year.

Date: 2004-10-05 01:24 am (UTC)I've never seen MacGyver at all.
Never Saw MacGyver?
Date: 2004-10-05 06:46 pm (UTC)Actually, having seen a rerun or two on (what is it? Spike TV? The network for men, anyway) TV, it was kind of stupid. But RDA was hot, and his rabid non-gun use and nifty ability to make anything was a lot of fun.
But he's actually much, much hotter now. And it's not just the hair. :-)
Thank you for the info about icon space. I'll have to look into that.
