random end of the evening stuff:

1. I just bit the bullet and signed up for three more ship_manifesto essays. They are, for the record, Daniel/Sam (with the hopes that seimaisin will not mind me stepping into the place she vacated), Scorpy/Braca, and the B:tVS Core Four. Fic recs for any of these, especially Core Four, would be greatly appreciated, as would any thoughts any of you have on the pairings in question.

2. I just realized I have an Angel character study due at with_character on... Monday. Eep? I totally need to get caught up on various ficathon stuff... I've got almost a month for most of them, but there are about four all coming due on May 1!

3. Tonight I read White Smoke and squeed massively. imo, it's possibly the slashiest book, though of course I'd need to reread others... sangerin, since I'm shameless and blame you entirely for my renewed Greeleyverse obsession, can you think of any other non-mystery-series books with heavy Blackie-Sean interaction? The joy of seeing them in a context other than Blackie's cluttered office, overlooked by the three Johns, is wonderful...

Also, I wrote some horrid angst-smut, and couldn't remember if Cathy and Blackie kissed in the Virgin and Martyr backstory. And lo, I am very lame.

4. I hung up with my girlfriend SIX HOURS AGO in exhaustion but since the TV was on I couldn't sleep and I ended up running elsewhere and now I can't make myself turn away from the computer, which I turned off six hours ago. OMG I am so frustrated. I need sleeeeeeeeeeeeep. *dies*

5. Blackie is so cute, for real.

6. I am still panicked that I am going to fail my thesis defense.

omg. death.

I slept through church this morning amidst much guilt. I'm still angry at myself about the sleep thing and the lack thereof and must figure out, somehow, how to get a normal sleep schedule. Or possibly not. Whee?

So I basically slept till dinner after a semi-productive evening of interneting and writing a little bit of fic... naturally, of all the ficathon assignments I have, the one that's inspiring me most is the one that's due the latest and doesn't have a specific recipient. And of course the idea is one of those things that I'm writing just for me and my kinks. But it's making me happy.

I need to run down to Academic and see when the thesis defense I want to attend tomorrow is... and then I'm going back up to cheese_munkey's room and study more.

Random thing I've been thinking lately is that I should attempt to do NaNo during May. Or possibly during Only, not NaNo, obviously, since it would just be me writing a novel rather than the entire nation. But since I'll be ALL ALONE and SO LONELY during May Term, it feels like the kind of thing that I might want to do. I'd have to decide if I'd want it to be profic or fanfic... If I could actually sustain a fanfic plot for that long, I'd die of shock.

Yeah, I got nothin'.
