just a quick overview of the evening:
Sep. 6th, 2004 09:56 pmI went to see the free dress rehearsal She Stoops to Conquer at the Blackfriars, which was fabulous, since stuff at the Blackfriars always is: funny and sweet, and there was some really cute subtexty slashness (between Hastings and Marlowe, obviously, if you've seen it) and lots of canon het. And the guy who played Tony Lumpkin (would be the comic relief if this were a tragedy) is just adorably wonderful. I've seen him before; he was in the troupe last year that did Tartuffe and Much Ado and King Lear, and... yeah. He's very awesome.
AND guess who was at the theatre? The English teacher of awesomely much prettiness. *resists urge to go starry eyed* She sat one row in front of me, one seat to the right, so I was just inches away from her for the whole two hours. It's been a long time since I've done that... actually, it's been almost four years since I saw a theatrical adaptation of The Odyssey sitting next to my pretty English teacher of the year (that was ninth grade, so it was an entirely different English teacher, almost nothing in common with the current one except the prettiness and the English teacherness).
Wrote a little more Fred/Tara at the theatre. It's destined to be a pairing of all cuteness.
Now I'm going back to my room; I might go over Z's to listen to crack and write fic, or I might talk on the phone with Gvambat; it remains to be seen. In any event, I should be reading Kant, but probably won't.
