1) whats up with all the fandoms? (fandoms besides buffy are gross. like lotr. and potc. and hp. blech. damn girly girls. "ee! orlando! *swoon*" -_-) Well, personally I think that the Cult of Orlando Bloom is the worst thing to hit fandom since smarm, but... it's all about the slash. Cause slash is pretty. At least, that's why I'm in fandom. (And personally, when it comes to sheer batshit insanity, tinhattiness, and snark, Jack/Daniel rivals Willow/Tara and Domlijah, which I frankly find somewhat frightening.) But, um, fannish obsession is my preferred way of channeling my unhealthy, unnatural, and often quite disturbing impulses towards obsession and stalking in a vaguely socially acceptable manner.
2) is it ok if said girl buys me some dvds too? =D and which season(s) are you getting? If we had some spare money to spend on DVDs, we'd, um, spend it on more DVDs for us. But her mom has S1 and S2, so we'll burn those, and get, um, 3-6, I believe? You'd have to ask the girl, though.
3) whats your favorite buffy moment and why? "I am you know" "What?" "Yours." Because it's just so perfect. So sweet and cute and wonderful and perfect. ::sap::
4) how many languages do you know? (computer languages are so languages too. pft.)Er, English, rudimentary html, and some French. So... slightly less than three.
5) college. sounds fun. whats that like? id so lock/hoarde my things away and murder my roomies. Oh, wow, that's a really specific question. :p Eh, I find it hard to believe that person living in room is actually, you know, living in my room, but... you get used to it. You get used to everything, apparently. So it's just, you know, life. I like it.

1) Why is your username WisdomEagle? Gosh, it's been so long. I picked it when I made my geocities site, which was a super long time ago, before I had AIM, even. I was looking for something cool and number-less, and my first ten or so choices were taken, but wisdomeagle was free, and I was sort of like, that sounds vaguely spiritual and new-age-y and I like to think I'm wise (snickersnort) so... yeah.
2) What is the one thing you regret the most? Not saying "I love you" to Jeane the last time I saw her.
3) *insert your own question, and answer, here* Oh, that is so cheating. :p Okay, question: What is Ari's one truest of all her OTPs? And the answer? Holmes/Watson. Because every time I read about them, I get all sappy and sad and squee. They're so angsty and in love with each other and it's just perfect.
4) If Jack and Maybourne suddenly ravaged eachother on SG-1, would you approve? Er, I think I'd probably prefer if they did it off-screen. And, you know, TPTB aren't very good at doing 'ship very convincingly so... on-screen? No. But off-screen? Hell, I believe they've already done it. Repeatedly. :p
5) Given the choice of one month with Gvambat and one month with Michael Shanks, what would you choose? Gvambat. Not even a hard decision. :)

sage_theory for the fact that I just spent an hour and a half making Sam/Cassie icons. When you work with an image for an hour and a half, no matter how innocuous it is to begin with, you begin to get creeped out by the creepiness inherant in making Singularity caps pedophiliac. But... yes.
(By the way, no need to tell me I'm a terrible person. I already know.)

Actually, I thought about doing a Sam/Cassie vid to "Tell her This" by Del Amitri, and it's not pedophiliac, but sort of mother/daughter love you know. How Sam is like Cassie's mother.
And question, for the interview, when you asked the question if I identify as queer, in your definition of queer, does bi-sexual count?

And then I said that bi totally counts as queer. Queer is my all-inclusive umbrella term for LGBTQI.

Date: 2004-01-29 02:17 pm (UTC)See, I don't think of Sam as being Cassie's mother in any, well, literal way. I think Janet is, by S5, and that that's how Cassie thinks of her. As her adopted mother.
That's very different from a woman who is vaguely maternal but not a mother.
TMI: When I was the age Cassandra is in "Singularity" or possibly slightly older, I fell in love with my mother surrogates. Fell in love hard.
It's something of a cliche for Cassie to have a schoolgirl crush on Daniel. (Hell, it even shows up in "Inferno.") I don't buy that. I think Cassie has a crush on Sam, and a big one. I think it's probably innocent and a result of, hello, huge emotional trauma just suffered, and, sadly, I think it's disappeared by "Rite of Passage."
I don't think Sam is a pedophile. That thought seriously squicks me, and it kept on squicking me last night as I was working on my icons. Especially as I twisted and convoluted the dialogue and the subtext and suddenly was half-convinced I could write a believable fic. But no.
So, in sum. Janet is Cassie's mom.
Sam thinks of Cassie as the daughter she never had.
Cassie has a crush on Sam that eventually fades as she becomes more accustomed to Earth and overcomes severe childhood trauma.
And that's why Cassie is my Mary Sue.
