Life After God, by Douglas Coupland is making me a happy camper at the moment. I've read it before, but apparently managed not to put a single quote in LJ, possibly because the last time I was reading it, I was in the middle of having a breakdown of communication resulting in the quasi-end of a relationship that... yeah, you all know this story. Anyhow, it's an excellent book.
On intimacy: I remember thinking that unless I knew what was going on inside of someone else's head other than my own I was going to explode.
I'm remarkably okay. It's not good to be too okay, because then you're content with the status quo, and it's not good to be too un-okay, because then you commit suicide, but it's good to feel happy with the way things are and to know that you're working hard to make them even better.
Will write revised prospectus/bibliography tonight, then if I write at least one page of the paper, I'm treating myself to new icons.
Ciao.
