your songs.

Take any 10 people on your friends list and think of a song that reminds you of each one, every time you hear it. Post it in your journal. Then your friends can read it and if they want they can do the same, including you as one of the 10 they choose.
if_: "Sad Lisa" by Cat Stevens. Because it's her.
noreverchaste: So many. Especially "The End" by The Doors from Apocalypse Now. Because she gave it to me.
venusinrapture: "Supermodel" by Jill Sobule. For obvious reasons. (It's the Clueless connection.) And "Friends Forever" by Vitamin C. Because it's sappy and stupid and true.
laynamarya: "Love Stinks" by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, because she recommended it to me when I requested angsty breakup music.
losthalo is not technically on my friends' list, but I can't listen to "Marry Me" by Amanda Marshall without thinking of her, because she recommended it to me when I requested a song, any song. By extension, I also think of
toregone
gwyddion: "Yellow" by Coldplay. I'm not sure if this was his recommendation for the angsty breakup music compilation, but I still associate it with him whenever I hear it.
ochretones: "Running Through My Head [All The Things She Said]" by Tatu. Because she vidded it, and we had a discussion about other vids to the same song
missfaith: I'm sure I'm miserably mistaken here, but the Tori Amos cover of "Real Men." If I could remember who actually recommended this for my protest music CD, I'd be insanely grateful. I don't think Kat was around then, though.
blank_ Anything by Eric Clapton, after her astonishing revelation that she didn't know who he was.
& finally, of course:
gvambat: Everything. Anything with a Scape, Drom, or Gate vid. Anything by Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie or Local Anxiety, anything by Linkin Park, the Les Mes soundtrack... but most especially, always and forever, "Love is a Stranger" by the Eurythmics. Because.
... of course, my memory failed me.
mazi, feel free to beat me. "Yellow" was entirely your song.

Date: 2003-10-23 01:08 pm (UTC)Like, two years ago (my goodness, how time flies!) I requested protest songs on QT, and someone reccomended Tori's "Real Men." I cannot for the life of me remember who it was, though. It obviously wasn't you, and I know you weren't there back then... and of course, it was on the old QT, so basically, any archive is gone forever.
