ANNE OF GREEN GABLES SLASH!!!!111oneoneononeleven!!!!!!

Though not my pairing of choice, it's definitely one that... Oh God.

Selfish/Selfless by Chash.

*drools*

It seems that life is being good to me in the form of rareslash joy. And much as I feel the Jack/Daniel love, there's something about rare pairings that makes me drool in a special way. H/W... Anneslash.... David/Jonathan goodness...

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I'm thinking of jumping into The Sentinel for the J/B goodness. Sci-fi will start airing reruns again on November 3. [livejournal.com profile] wistful_fever, it's somewhere in the middle of S3. How arc-heavy is the show? Would I be able to basically understand what was going on, or would I be hopelessly confused?

*goes back to reading Bible slash*

ETA: A Little Princess slash! Emily of New Moon slash! This is femslash I can live with, people.

Why don't more people profane the books of their childhood with heart-wrenchingly lovely fanfiction?

I never found it to be over-arc heavy, no. I think you could probably just jump in. Most episodes are stand alones, so to speak. I do have to admit, some of the episodes' b-plots are kind of weak, but the characters MORE than make up for that fact, at least they did for me. Sentinel is just very character driven, and Jim/Blair is just SO slashy that it's like porn. Without the nudity. Or the sex. Seriously. A non-slasher would see Jim/Blair.

I do have to warn you though, that when the final TS episode plays, you're going to be PISSED, because there was so much left un-explored. The writers had so much more in store for us, for the arcs, the characters, and lots of great Jim/Blair, if it hadn't been cancelled. This will be the one show I'll bemoan its termination for the rest of my life. It wasn't like they weren't getting average ratings, either. The fandom is still WAY strong even after the show's death. Getting stronger every day. That HAS to say something. Grr.
The writers just did what they want and rumors say the execs didn't lik ethat. Anyway, shouldn't use your journal to rant and moan.

If you do feel the need to do some research and get a general overview of what's went on so far, there's always transcripts: http://www.kelesa.net/transcripts/index.htm

And screencaps: http://www.wolfpanther.com/

And Sentinel Link Resource: http://www.kelesa.net/tslinks.htm

Now you're set :)

*looks at previous reply to your entry*

You know, there should be an edit function.

Or maybe I just shouldn't reply to ANYTHING this late at night when I'm running on empty.

Anyhoo, you're welcome. And this makes me glad I've never seen an episode of Farscape. I did see the 'Save Farscape' signs everywhere, though, which also made me glad I didn't get itno the show. Nothing worse than a show cancelled when it still has life in it. Except... maybe... a show living that should be dead. dead. dead.
