Hi! Welcome. I'm Ari.

I like labels a lot. They identify me to the world and the world to myself. They help me find my kin. They help me evaluate my place in the world, my privileges and my compliance. That said, I am:

I'm an East Coast native, and I live in Kansas. I grew up in the American Baptist Churches and the United Church of Christ, and am now a member of a Lutheran (ELCA) church and identify as a Lutheran.

I used to be in fandom and continue to believe that I will be in fandom again some day. The texts of my late teens and early twenties continue to inform the way I view the world, and the social justice discussions in fandom shaped the way I view texts of all kinds.

I use ze/hir pronouns exclusively.

My best friend is Elizabeth ([info]hermionesviolin). We aren't siblings, dating, or separated at birth, despite all rumors to the contrary. We met on LiveJournal, the old-fashioned way.

I am married.
