wisdomeagle1) RPF/RPS is boring, boring, boring. I think penknife put it best -- for me, fic is about getting closer to characters I know and love. I do not know and/or love any of the actors or singers in RPF. And you can talk all you like about constructed "canon," but as far as I can tell from observing these fandoms from the outside, the search for such canon seems to have the primary effect of driving people batshit insane. --as

yahtzee63 once said (am googling unpopular fannish opinions, in the hope that I can come up with some of my own some day). Then again, I've never really read RPS. So I don't know. Maybe there's a point. Other than that yay, actors are hot. (Uh, and isn't that kind of the point?)
2) My other opinion is that the ending of Serpent's Lair is really slashy. That, however, is not so much an opinion as a fact.
3) The more I think about it, the more H/R/Hr is my favorite student/student ship in the HP fandom. Mostly because it means I can avoid thinking about 'ship wars.
4) People need to write more Minerva McGonagall/Hermione Granger fic. Right now, immediately. Because it is officially the only pairing in the HP fandom that I really care about because Hermione is my Mary Sue and I don't understand the existence of Snape/Harry but not McGonagall/Hermione.
5) People need to write more fic where UST doesn't get resolved, because I like unrequited love. Especially when the characters learn to deal with it.
6) I think there's a difference between people who write J/D because theirloveissopure and those who write it because if one guy is hot, two are hotter. Neither sort of writer has any grasp of canon.
7) Daniel is neither shy, quiet, a pacifist, meek, nor vulnerable. He is, in fact, a whiny little bitch, a pain in the ass, and stubborn as hell.
8) Paul Davis is not actually all that attractive. Colin Cunningham is. Davis isn't.
9) Jack/Harry is real. It's true. It is. AND YOU CAN'T PROVE OTHERWISE.
10) The tag scene to Serpent's Lair is really slashy.
