Alexis loves [...] that Joss thinks his sitting sadly is the most brilliant drama that America has ever seen.
I should have mentioned this in my original comment, but I really love this sentence, because it perfectly sums up why Alexis would be in love with Joss (and also pokes gentle fun -- especially in the bit I elipsed -- at the brooding!Wesley arc withought actually bashing it, which kinda sets the tone for the whole fantasy noir that is this fic, of how this is pathetic and real and notreal and serious and ridiculous and all that and more all at the same time).
Additional should-have-mentioned: I always feel such yay when I merit author notes mention :)
