So I saw the new Stargate, finally. Sort of a weird, bipolar episode. Vastly amusing, we got to see Jack's house again (yay), no Jack/Sam stuff (thank God), tiny bits of backstory for Jack (what the fuck was that line supposed to mean, anyhow?), Asgard are always cute, Thor showed up, a few lines that could be interpreted as slash if you have the right mindset... very amusing in places, sort of angsty in others, glad they didn't kill off Duplicate O'Neill (take 3... see also Cold Lazarus and Tin Man). The whole ep felt sort of like the answer to the question, "How can we shoot good Jack-centric eps if RDA wants to take a backseat this year?" But that's okay. It was still amusing. Not a favorite, probably, but it will definately go into the "to be watched again" pile.

The whole thing was extremely fanfic-y. I mean, younger versions of SG-1 is such a fucking cliche, but they pulled it off. Anais does it better, but she does everything better. *worships* Some ficcers just are inhumanly amazing. So yeah, it was good. I can think of about 5 really disturbing fic ideas that this episode spawned... and I'm so fucking pissed that they're trying to push Daniel's reset button. *sniff* I mean, the whole amnesia thing could be really awesome IF they did it well, but they won't. Because they are Sci-Fi and they suck. Bleh. The previews for this ep, just so you know, were atrocious.


So my roommate's going to call tonight so we can go over the entire episode in detail. My sister, it turns out, does not have a copy of OotP, so I'll have to see if she wants to go halves on one or not. *shrug*

I have so many plot bunnies running through my head! Vast amounts of amusement!
