Huzzah! Everytime I sit down to write something self-indulgent (which seems to be every time I touch the computer these days!) I think, okay, this is it, this is rock bottom. And then I do something like begin a potentially endless spanking WiP and realize there's still more down to go.

Given what I know to be your thoughts on Gryffindors, "You wouldn't be Gryffindor's if you didn't think you could face the world's evil single-handed," seems both insightful and evenhanded.

*nods* I think this is going to be a major theme of the fic, and will neccessitate me not screaming at the characters everytime they do something stupid brave.

It sort of leaves us both satisfied and unsatisfied at the same time in a really beautiful way.
