Oh, oh, oh. God, I haven't picked up the books in years, but Jessi was always one of my favorite characters and this, this just -- oh. Yes to all of it. Wonderful, and you've managed to do something that's very difficult to do with YA fic, and litfic as well, and YA litfic especially -- stay true to the voice of the original material while still making it something very different, more grown-up.
