ficathons! and new year's resolutions

Working hard on FemGen in the sense of thinking of the gorgeous words I'd write if I only had a brain. And deciding in advance (lo intentionality!) what ficathons to sign up for this year.

1. I've done every round of femslash_minis so far and will continue to do so for as long as Cady and Bri'll have me. :)
2. Femslash06.
3. I will do Remix this year (provided it happens, of course.) To this end, I should get my memories up to date now.
4. I will give priority to flisters' ficathons, should they run any. (Not that I have a ficathon-running flist or anything. *shifty eyes*.)
5. I will not have more than three stories due a month.
6. I will not do anything completely stupid-crazy like sign up for a 'Lantis boyslash 'thon and think, "Well, maybe I'll get assigned something I can write!" I'll get assigned McShep. Durr.
7. When the time comes for secret santas, I will choose wisely and keep in mind that I should not have more than three stories due a month.
8. I'm not even going to mention the not procrastinating, because that would make a liar of me. So I'm not even going to mention it.


On Running Ficathons:
1. I'll do a second chorus of SGOT3+ and one other 'thon to be decided later. That's it.

*cough* That would bring all the wank to the yard! Or could. Or maybe 'Lantis fandom would be sane and sensibl... nah. :p (It's my experience that "anything but" always raises hackles.)

Yes, very true. Frankly, at the moment, I'm just sitting here wishing that That Guy From The Control Room (the one who does everything? I just forgot his name) had fic about him. Because clearly, he is the brains of this operation.

I've watched all but the last two eps of s1 on my new DVDs, and omg am all SGA-asquee. Still avoiding the fandom, because I've observed enough of it to know that it will harsh my squee with woe, and who wants that?

*cough* I saw you posting 'bout Grodin (though he'll always be Otto to me - that's who his actor played on Dark Angel...) earlier and it's needful (as always) to self-pimp, though the story in question isn't one of the ones I'm proudest of (it was on-demand fic and I was like, Grodin? Who?) Anyhow, Go Tell It On The Mountain (McKay/Weir/Grodin, PG)

Ficathons are crackful yet addictive, both for participants and those who organise. This is just a solemn fact of life. ;)
