I discovered the way I mentioned through trial-and-error. Your null-submit way was new to me, and pleases me because it means I can just refresh my journal page to view polls I didn't vote in rather than having to go through all the steps and make sure I kept that page open. (Though I like to see who voted, so I do usually have that page open anyhow.) And dude, I'm not sure I remember ever *not* knowing about the possibility of changing your vote. Clearly we are superior people LJ users.
