It occurred to me that i know exactly where we keep the frequently used recipes, so i don't actually have to wait until anyone is awake.


CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

Beat a 3 oz package of cream cheese with rotary beater until smooth
Add sifted 1 1/2 cup confectioners sugar and beat until blended.
Add 1/2 Tablespoon butter/margarine
and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract.

(For large cake, 8 oz cream cheese and 3 cups sugar.)


The cakes we make are in an 8x8 baking pan, to give you an idea of the size that gets comfortably frosted by this amount of frosting.
