Aww -- I'm extremely gratified that you liked the Wes/Cordy bits, because of course, I wrote the first section for you and hadn't written this particular incarnation of Wes/Cordy before. (And now I've just realized I've written them twice -- once at the Very Beginning, and once at the Very End.) So yes, definitely glad you liked that part!

I sometimes write things that are deliberately ambiguous and opaque because I am too lazy to come up with an explanation or committ myself to one storyline. This would be one of those times. But I definitely don't think it would be out of character for him to do that. :)
