The premise of this ficathon is that one is not enough. In fact, two are not enough, and three is just starting to hit the proper number of people to have in a relationship. This is a ficathon for trios and triples and multiples on Stargate: SG-1 and on Stargate: Atlantis.
Here's how it will work. You'll sign up by commenting to this post. You'll request a story that you would like someone else to write for you. Since I'm leaving this open to all sorts of groupings, I'm asking that you make two separate requests. The person writing for you will only have to choose one to write. That way I'll have a better chance of matching your request with someone willing to write it.
You'll also tell me what groupings (throughout, the word "grouping" will mean what "pairing" usually does in these things)) you particularly want to write AND what groupings you absolutely can't or won't write, along with anything else you can't write. Then, after sign-ups close, I'll email you with the name and requests of the person you'll writing for. You'll choose one of hir requests and write a fic of at least 1000 words fulfilling it by June 15.

A couple of notes for signing up:
1. The groupings you request must include at least three people, and, just to save our sanity, no more than five. All combinations of boys, girls, and Thor are acceptable.
2. I encourage everyone to be creative in requesting groupngs, but keep in mind that someone will have to write the grouping you request. Since you have two requests, try to make at least one of them, for lack of a better term, a more conventional grouping. If no conventional groupings strike your fancy, by all means, be unconventional. If worst comes to worst, I'll write your Chaka/Thor/Teyla fic.
3. Crossovers between the two shows are fine, but please keep it within the 'Gateverse.
4. Because of the nature of this ficathon, I'm assuming NC-17 content is okay unless you specify otherwise. If you'd prefer no NC-17, let me know.

Genuine feelings between all three, although Shep and McKay *can* start the story by sublimating their feelings for each other into fighting over Elizabeth, in fact I'd love it. ;-) 2. Their role as the three leaders of Atlantis as a metaphor for the relationship. 3. the phrase, "new galaxy, new rules" used somewhere. Dialogue or narrative, I don't care which. :-)

What else can't you write? Graphic sex, rape, non-con, torture, BDSM--I can write pretty steamy het, but I don't even read much graphic slash so I *know* I don't trust myself to write it, and it wouldn't be fair to only write one but not the other. ;-)

What groupings or kinds of groupings can you not write? No f/f/m groupings. Nothing with Sam, General Hammond, Jacob Carter, Anubis, Jonas, Omoc or any of the Noxs(sorry, they just seem really asexual to me, the Nox, that is.)
What else can't you write? Death (of the good guys, I'll kill off the snakes, no problem), torture (again of the good guys), anything depressing. (I find if I write angst, I get really depressed, not a good place for me to be.) I don't care for hard core BDSM and slave fic, but I enjoy spankings and light bondage. (writing it, that is. grins) I could write Jack being Daniel and Janet's love slave for a day, no problem.

What groupings, kinds of groupings, or characters would you especially like to write? I'd really prefer Daniel/Jack/Sam, but if you need me to I can take a shot at any other grouping within the team, including Jonas. (Yeah, I'm going through a team phase.)
What groupings or kinds of groupings can you not write? I don't watch SGA, so that's right out. I'd also have a lot of trouble writing a grouping that included Hammond, Jacob, or Bra'tac.
What else can't you write? non-con, character-bashing (of the good guys), AU.
Can you write backup? no, because I suck.
