Since I don't have all my books with me, I've chosen five that I happen to have with me. I do love all of them. I've removed some identifying marks.

1. In the year 1878 I took my degree of Doctor of Medicine of the University of ...., and proceeded to N.... to go through the course prescribed for surgeons in the Army. (A Study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle John Watson. Guessed by malnpudl.)

2. H... was an unusual boy in many ways. (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by JK Rowling. Guessed by sweetcommunist)

3. I am writing to you because she said you listen and understand and didn't try to sleep with that person at that party even though you could have. (the perks of being a wallflower by stephen chbosky. Guessed by sweetcommunist)

4. When Mr. B.... of B.... announced that he would shortly be celebrating his eleventy-first birthday with a party of special magnificence, there was much talk and excitement in H..... (The Fellowship of the Ring, by Peter Jackson J.R.R Tolkien. Guessed by azarsuerte)

5. It's a funny thing about mothers and fathers. Even when their own child is the most disgusting little blister you could ever imagine, they still think that he or she is wonderful. (Matilda by Roald Dahl. Guessed by sweetcommunist.)
