So, we watched "The Eye"

It was shippy.

Well, no, I can do better than that. I just watched it! Some people haven't seen it, and will be clicking behind here for spoilers, and they'll want to know about things like plot and action and cinematography and whether Weir actually died or not.

Well, I can say conclusively that Weir is not dead. Rodney saved her.

Plot-wise, there was lots of Weir/McKay.

I think that Torri Higginson and David Hewlett acted the UST very well.

Perhaps my episode notes will help me explain a bit better what happened in this episode.

"Rodney, he gets it."

TOUCHIES

"You just stepped in front of a gun for me."

"in case you hadn't noticed, I'm an extremely arrogant man who tends to think all his plans will work" and then guy punches him and then ELIZABETH TOUCHES HIS SHOULDER.

Er, perhaps not.

Let's see. What happened in "The Eye" was that McKay saved Weir's life and screamed and ranted and ohhh, it was so lovely, and he's so in love with her and then she touched him and then they went out to fix the last one of those, uh, thingies and there was wet!Rodney and wet!Elizabeth at the same time. And then she went over to help him and they talked about bluffing and she was SO CUTE when she tried to fake the technobabble. SQUEE. <3 <3 <3

And Meg, it's totally canon that McKay sucks at poker. Hee!

And then Weir bluffs for them and McKay helps and it's really cute and then Sheppard (oh, yeah, I forgot that Sheppard's in this episode too) shuts off the power and then Rodney and Elizabeth have to cuddle together for warmth and he's got his arm around her and it is so unbearably cute that I broke my squee. Don't worry, it got fixed again.

There's lots more bluffing and Teyla has a knife fight and Ford is mean to Beckett, and then Sheppard shows up again and Ford is very relieved, as he has been away from the Major for a Very Long Time and he was lonely. Poor baby.

And then they all worked together to save the day and with Sheppard around there was nowhere nearly enough McWeir, although I was getting OT3 vibes.

Today I believed for the first time they might actually be doing it on purpose. That scares me, especially since they would seem to be headed towards a love triangle of DOOM, and I have my suspicions about how it would turn out. And it wouldn't be McShep, believe you me.

But enough about silly text.

SUBTEXTTTTTTTTT!

I'm sure that people of every pairing affiliation will have plenty to squee about: not much McBeck, but it was certainly there.

The real intense drama was with the Big Three, however, and the McKay/Weir was brutally intense. How can you go through a life-changing and life-threatening experience like that, go through it together, and not come away scarred, and bonded somehow? <3 My love for this pairing is so pure.

Oh, and "Torment of Tantalus" ref made me happy.

MCWEIR OMG.

Ford does not deal with command well. He really needs Sheppard. Teyla might actually kick a little bit of ass. Although it makes no sense yay. Still. And Teyla/Sheppard is still canon, right? Right? Right? *clings to non-OTP destroying canon*

Oh, Beckett apparently says he's military and doesn't have to take orders. OMG he is fanon!Daniel. o_O

OTP OTP OTP OTP OTP OTP!

One true pairing SQUEE!

Just ask [livejournal.com profile] gvambat, I have totally been like this since we started watching. I need to go to bed now, but... SQUEEEEEEEEEE!

Squee.

PS: I don't like Sheppard calling Weir "one of my people." She's your CO, for frell's sake. Not the other way around.
