Setting: pre-series, though framed by post-S5/S2
Spoilers: B:tVS: "The Gift". AtS: "Belonging" through "There's No Place Like Plrtz Glrb." Buffy's "Family" and Angel's "Fredless" might also be helpful.
Warnings: Alcohol (trite plot device number 307), underage sexuality (not especially explicit) and vaguely loli-con. I honestly don't think this is especially The Evil Chanslash, but do be warned that Tara is about seven years younger than Fred. If you really think this kind of thing could squick you, don't read it.
Notes: Title is from the Indigo Girls song "Least Complicated." If one person says Tara is nothing more than my Mary Sue, well, she might be right. But she could at least have the decency not to say it. Many, many huge thanks to sage_theory for the beta. Any mistakes that remain are mine alone.
